I've been doing business privately for 3 years and have decided to go public so other people can have a good Cleaning. I am honest with every customer and answer any questions that they have. I do a complete cleaning. I test the draft on every fireplace before I start the cleaning, and let them know if it easier to do it for the fireplace going up. It?s easier to clean a fireplace from the bottom because: A.) You control the speed of the brush going up the flue B.) The suction for sucking soot C.) Preventing a Dusting of Customer home Oil Flue are inspected before or after a cleaning and looked over with a flashlight from the top and/or mirror from the bottom at the connection to make sure there are no cracks or large gaps between the tiles. If there is a cracked tile or a shattered tile that?s missing some then a liner is recommended Stainless steel is the best option. Unless you have Gas, then you could use Aluminum Oil Flue cleanings can be done from the top or bottom
On a few jobs I have been known for Duct taping fireplace doors, vents, and stove doors shut, oil connection. Placing a drop cloth in front and taping it to the wall, and having a hose coming from a VAC turned on (Just to prevent any Soot from coming in the room. I also do Woodstove installs. The only difference between an insert and a liner is: On most if not all after brushing the flue you need to pull the stove and the 5 ft insert out and clean behind it including the shelf. On certain stoves you can pull them out do to the way they were installed. A stainless steel liner is the best way: A.) Brush the liner, open the plate, or remove the bricks, or pop of the surround top plate and the liner and suck it up with the vacuum. reconnect and your done. Vacuum out the ash

Some fireplace or woodstove's when inspecting we may find heavy glaze or chunky creosote. Sometime a standard cleaning won't be enough for it. So we would recommend a 1.) Rotorary cleaning- metal rods, Drill wire hoop addition 100-$500.00 pending amount of creosote in flue 2.) Cre-way- Chemical cleaning-may need up to 4 sessions pending the amount, and while you burn for 2 weeks prior to the spraying. 3.) Chaining the flue lightly- down fall - may cause cracked tile (do not recommend) We also specialize: In liners, rebuilds, repointing, flashing, caps, waterproofing, wood stove installation, damper repair, cleanout doors, and brick replacement.
